Ogphizow meets WhatSocietyCreated(WSC)

I'm in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape for a few days on a trail to find a hip hop collective , called WhatSocietyCreated who has been making waves in 'the Bay' throughout 2015, With hits From Tera Pegasus called Jan 24th and Oct5 dropping his own Oct 5 freestyle over a 4dee beat. The songs have done remarkably well on monumentille.com and on the groups official Soundcloud page.
So here I go, its a Saturday afternoon the Weathers good in the windy City for the first time and its a good day to be creative, So I hit up a good friend of mine King Veedge, a well respected photographer to help me cover the story.
Touch down, the Western suburbs better known as the 6025 where most of the members of the group reside. Here I'm met by two members of the Collective Tera Pegasus and Oct 5 who agree to give me a low down/scoop on what they have been working on since the last time anybody from the group released something.

So we drive off around PE to different spots where the two Artists gather their inspiration from, I grew up in the City but some of the spots the two took me to were somewhat foreign to me, even though PE is my City of birth. While we riding in the car and moving from one location to the next I was treated to unreleased music the group has been working on over the past summer, and all I can say at this point and time is that the group has been working.
It was a bit strange hearing good hip-hop music coming from PE considering the fact that it is well known for its House scene and Afro Soul with acts like Heavy-K , point 5 ,Naak Music and Zonke all coming out of the 'Bay'.

The time came and it was time for the rappers to answer my 10 questions challenge where I ask them 10 questions of my choice and they have to answer them whether they are comfortable with answering them or not.

What is WSC?
What Society Created, that's the basic theme of our subject matter in our music. you'll find that the
narrative in our music is inspired by our surroundings, experiences and external influences, hence the title What Society CREATED. The broader view of What Society created is the effect society has in moulding each individual. Yeah!
When did you guys come together to form the group?
2012.
PE isn't known for a hip hop scene ,how has that affected you guys in what you trying to achieve , and often do you get gigs?
Our main objective is to create at hip hop culture in P.E, there has been vast improvements with regards to more people supporting the genre and people expressing themselves more whether in the form of a musician or the visual aspect of the genre. So our main focus is channeling that energy and working with fellow artists and event organizers to achieve that objective.
Artists are very weird people and socially awkward people ,how open are you guys in working with different artists from around PE?
That all depends on your Qi flow we don't f*ck with regular species.
I've heard a few of your unreleased music, and its pretty dope do you guys plan on dropping a project this year maybe an E.P or L.P?
We working on a release of a new single titled 'Mayphoswe' very excited about this track and during the winter season we might be dropping a special EP if the crew agrees on it, that E.P will show our versatility as musicians. But stay tuned for more updates.
Do you think PE or even SA is ready for you guys, a lot of people that listen to hip hop don't f*ck too much with different material to commercial , how do you guys plan to combat that?
We are only focused on mastering our own sound people will catch on sooner or later, but from recent feedbacks people have been impressed and they appreciate our originality that's why we've been hard at work.
Is WSC strong enough to carry PE hip hop?
We aim to represent P.E and the E.C we not superhero's therefore we don't care too much about carrying people or anything for that matter. btw whack question!
You guys were part of a group of people that created a website that hosted music from up and coming cats, from E.C. UHM... do explain that and how was it being apart of Monumentille.com?
Amazing and we still MONUMENTILLE just stay tuned.
Tera Pegasus what does that even mean? is just words you made up or is there a meaning behind that?
